What began as a humble kitchen-table venture during the uncertain days of 2021 has since blossomed into a thriving artisan business lighting up hearts and homes across the globe. Wired Irish Crafts, founded by husband-and-wife team Tracy and Douglas Higgins, proudly celebrated our fourth anniversary this May, marking a journey fueled by passion, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability. Going from our "Kitchen table to The Castleyard, Kilkenny". Frustrated by the common flaws in traditional candles: tunneling, sooting, and fading scents, Tracy and Douglas set out to do things differently. Using only eco-friendly and sustainable materials, they developed a line of artisan soy candles that not only look and smell beautiful but also address global environmental concerns. Our hand poured candles eliminate the dreaded “candle tunneling” effect and dramatically reduce sooting, all while using vegan-friendly natural and essential oils that deliver a long-lasting scent throw.

Why work with us

We have addressed the common issues with traditional candles. Therefore we provide clean burning candles that do not tunnel, have reduced candle soot by over 90%, fragrances that do not fade throughout the burn cycle due to our scent binding by hand. We also proved eco friendly candle vessels such as coconut shells, bamboo bowls, bespoke custom made pottery. All reusable and refillable. We only use 100% natural produce and have a zero waste policy. Customer service is imperative to us at Wired Irish Crafts and we have a 5 star rating on google. We also provide in house candle making workshops for groups, business's and schools. Corporate gifting provided also.
